Ashima Bhalla was born in Pune but because of Army background moved so many places. Most of her studies were done in Chandigarh. She wanted to pursue her career as an airhostess, but destiny kept something else for her.
Ashima Bhalla started her career in modelling. She has also done a course from Kishor Namit Kapoor`s Acting school. Ashima did her debut in the movie Pyaar Zindagi Hai starring with Mohnish Behl and Rajesh Khanna. She has also appeared in cameo roles in movies like Na Tum Jano Na Hum, Hathyar and Pyar Zindagi Hai. Besides Hindi she had also done few Tamil movies, Allaudin with Prabhu Deva, Sudeshi and Ramanna with Vijayakant. And her first film was with the renowned actor Chiranjeevi in Telugu film Daddy.
She also appeared in the small screen, portraying the lead role in the Indian soap Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni on Star Plus. In addition she has participated in the show "Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena" alongside Irfan Pathan.
